Vaivasvata Manu is the 14th Manu in Hindu mythology and the founder of the Vaivasvata Veda.

He is said to have ruled the earth for 7 pralayas (cosmic cycles) and is considered a sage and a seer.

According to the Puranas, Vaivasvata Manu was the first to perform the sacrifice of Soma, the sacred drink of the gods.
