Bio

Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (1888-1975) was an Indian philosopher, scholar, and polymath. He was born in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India, to a Telugu Brahmin family.

Radhakrishnan studied at the University of Madras and later at the University of Cambridge, where he earned his PhD in philosophy. He became a professor at the University of Mysore and later at the University of Calcutta.

Radhakrishnan was a key figure in the Indian independence movement and served as the Governor-General of India from 1947 to 1952. He was also a prominent figure in the Indian Constituent Assembly, which drafted the Indian Constitution.
