Naalayira Divya Prabandham

Naalayira Divya Prabandham is a collection of 4,000 devotional poems in Tamil, compiled by the Nayanmars, a group of six Hindu saints who lived in southern India between the 9th and 13th centuries.

  1. The collection is divided into 12 sections, each dealing with a different aspect of the divine.
  2. The poems are written in various meters and are considered some of the greatest works of Tamil literature.
  3. The Nayanmars were instrumental in the development of the Bhakti movement in Hinduism, which emphasizes devotion and love for the divine.
  4. The collection is a treasure trove of spiritual and philosophical insights, and is still widely studied and revered today.

The Nalayira Divya Prabandham is considered one of the most important works of Tamil literature and is a testament to the power of devotion and the human spirit.
