Who is Itihasa-Purana?

Itihasa-Purana is an ancient Hindu text that contains the historical and mythological accounts of the Indian subcontinent.

It is also known as the "Ancient Indian History and Geography" and is considered one of the most important sources of knowledge about ancient India.

The text is attributed to the sage Vyasadeva, who is said to have compiled it from earlier sources.

Itihasa-Purana is divided into seven books, each dealing with a different period of Indian history.
