About Eknath

Eknath was born on 16th February 1547 in Mahuwa, a small village in the state of Maharashtra, India. He was the youngest of four sons born to Pandit Govind Ramji Bhosale and his wife, Lakshmi. Eknath was a devout follower of Lord Shiva and was deeply influenced by the Bhakti movement.
