Abhinavagupta (c. 950-1015 CE) was a renowned Indian philosopher, theologian, and yogi who made significant contributions to the field of Tantric philosophy.

He is best known for his magnum opus, the "BhASya" (Commentary), which systematized the principles of Tantric philosophy and provided a comprehensive framework for understanding the mysteries of the universe.

Abhinavagupta's philosophical system, known as "Abhinavavada," emphasizes the interconnectedness of all phenomena and the ultimate reality of the universe, which he termed "Shiva-Shakti."
